The Inspectorate at Gabrovo municipality will fine owners of shops and restaurants who have not cleaned the snow within 2 meters in front of their premises. The fine for companies is 10,000 leva and for individuals it is up to 1000 leva. The first complaints from citizens for slippery shop entrances causing danger for pedestrians are now fact. Owners of buildings are required to remove the icicles from the buildings. If the residents are unable to remove the hanging icicled themselves, they may seek assistance from the municipality. Officials from the Inspectorate will monitor for improperly parked cars which prevent the snow ploughs to clean the streets. The owners of the respective vehicles will be fined as well.
